Trust badges and payment icons near the checkout button reassure shoppers that your store is safe and that their preferred payment method is accepted. With HS Slide Cart Drawer Upsell you can show them right inside the cart drawer, at the moment shoppers decide to check out.

Two ways to show badges

Icon builder

  • Select payment provider icons from the built-in library.
  • Upload your own icons, such as security or guarantee badges, in PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG or WEBP format, up to 2 MB each.
  • Reorder the selected icons with the sorting option.

Single image

  • Upload one image, for example a strip of payment logos you already use on your theme.
  • The recommended size is 450 × 50 px. JPG, PNG, GIF and SVG files are accepted.

You can switch between the two modes at any time. Moving to the icon builder keeps your single-image setup unchanged, so you can go back to it.

Where badges appear

Trust badges are shown in the footer of the cart drawer, close to the checkout button. You can change their order among the other footer blocks, such as the subtotal, the checkout button and add-ons. Badge settings belong to the cart drawer you are editing.

Best practices

  • Only show payment methods your store actually accepts.
  • Use icon-style files with a transparent background for a clean, consistent look.
  • Keep the selection short. A few recognizable icons build more trust than a crowded row.
  • Place badges just above or below the checkout button, where shoppers look before paying.
  • Check the result on mobile, where icons appear smaller.

Troubleshooting

  • Badges don't appear in the cart: make sure trust badges are enabled for this cart drawer, that you saved, and that at least one icon is selected or an image is uploaded.
  • A custom icon is missing: custom icons are stored in your Shopify Files. If a file was deleted there, upload it again or remove it from the selection.
  • The image looks blurry or stretched: use the recommended size for single images, or switch to the icon builder.
  • Upload fails: check the file format and, for custom icons, that the file is no larger than 2 MB.
